Do you know when the beautiful stained glass window was dedicated?
The stained glass window was given to the church in memory of charter member Ben Olson and dedicated on December 3, 1978.

When did Carlton Olson move to Newport to start a Lutheran Church?
LCA missionary Carlton Olson and family moved to Newport in 1965 to start a new Lutheran Church.

Where did the new forming congregation first meet?
Seventh Day Adventist Church.

When was Atonement’s ground breaking ceremony?
Ground breaking ceremony was held in June 1969.

When did Atonement purchase their pipe organ?
Atonement purchased a used pipe organ from First Baptist, Corvallis in 1972.

How many pastors have served Atonement?
There have been 5 pastors who have accepted a call to Atonement, Carlton Olson 1966, Bob Hermansen 1978, Mitchell Watney 1993, Dave Brauer-Rieke 2005, Ed Milliken 2008.

When did Atonement partner with the Zhawiciela Parish in Zory, Poland?
Atonement’s Polish connection started in 1997.

When did Atonement become a Reconciling in Christ Congregation?
Atonement became an RIC Congregation in 2011.
